Trip to the Murray Mouth,

Last Saturday I headed down to Coorong, (about an hour south of Adelaide), it starts where the Murray empties in to the ocean. Actually the Murray no longer flows into the ocean, they pump so much water out of it it dies before the end and they dredge to keep it open. This place is pretty cool, if you have a 4x4 you can drive along the beach for I think a few hundred miles, its great for surf fishing, biking, surfing, kite surfing ect. I had a car so no off roading for me yet. Sunday I the wind picked up and I got my big kite out for the first real time. (Only a half hour or so)

Trip to the Murray

I took my first trip to Australia's mighty Murray, its the biggest river in Australia. It makes the border between, New South Wales, Vitoria, and South Australia. It was a good time to get back out on a boat, we did a bit of Wake boarding, and stayed up at a cottage on the river. No one really lives on the river its more for weeeknd get aways. There are tons of barge house boats, quite a bit of wildlife, lots of crazy birds, eagles. I got to hand feed a wild possum. The water was freezing, like 50 - 55 or so. Posted by Picasa

Cleland Wild Life Park

Last Sunday I went to this mini zoo wild life park, next to Mt Lofty in the Adelaide Hills. It was pretty cool, you got to go right up to the animals and feed and pet them. You could hold kawalas. Most of the animals were not in cages you just walked around with them. The only problem was it was nice and sunny at my house, up in the hills it was rainy and cold.
